The Backup Drabble

Backup looked into the mirror mournfully.

I am so having a bad hair day.

Most days, Backup could count on waking up to a sensibly short yet remarkably lucious chocolate brown coat. Today, however, the canine coiffure gods had seen fit to curse him with... white fur.

Backup placed a paw over his eyes and whimpered. There's no way in hell Mrs. Goldman's Pomeranian will look at me twice decked out like this. I look like some kind of nancy-dog.

Backup resigned himself to yet another lonely night, but consoled himself with the thougt of the trip to the beach he had been promised for later that afternoon.

Just one big old litter box, and nary a cat in sight. Backup sighed. It could be worse.

I could have been recast as a chihuahua.

Hee hee! I love the paw over eyes promo-shot with KBell and Backup 1.0. I hope things work out for him and the Pomeranian. That relationship has enough strain on it already, what with the size difference.

The story actually has a happy ending. Backup jacked a few pick-up lines from the PCH biker gang during their little rendezvous. A well-delivered "Backup love you long time" had the Pomeranian swooning in his paws.

Lamb does in "Credit Where Credit is Due" when Veronica uses Lilly's fake drivers license to get a copy of the speeding ticket. The desk agent calls V, "Ms. Kane" and Lamb pokes his head out the door, but isn't quite sure what he's just heard.

Although... Am I missing something, for the fourth one? Because I think it's Veronica says "I was 12 when you moved here!" in TWoC. And Logan says he has known Duncan "since kindergarten." Did Logan actually say something else about meeting Duncan that I missed? Did he have his shirt off at the time? I tend to miss words when that happens.

No problem. I love trivia! I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something. Because then I would have had to go back and watch more Veronica Mars, and you know how hard that is.
